My 7 favorite curly hair products

Hi guys !

I know I haven't posted in weeks, this has a lot to do with the fact that i'm still working on a good hair tutorial. But i'd like to start of by writing a post about my favorite hair products. Last week I went to the store and decided to buy new curly hair products so i can write reviews. Of course sometimes you buy something that doesn't work for your hair but you have to try it out before you can see if it works. There might be a product that works like magic. As a curly haired I never get comfortable with any product. Because my hair (3b) gets used to a certain product and doesn't work after a while. So i'm always searching for the next 'temporary' product. Curly hair comes in different textures. So it's always good to know what type of curl pattern you have. Which makes it easier to find the right hair products. My hair is 3B, I don't have very thick hair  and I want to keep the volume so i don't use products with allot of weight. Not too much oil and not too much different types of hair products all at one. Define your curly hair type here !

Here are some reviews on my favorite hair products, there might be something that you are willing to try out and see if that works out for you.
Sedal Reconstruccion Total SOS
$5,00

1. Sedal Reconstruccion Total SOS (detangler)

I've been using Sedal since I was 6 years old, and it has always worked for me. Sedal is a latin-american product so it's hard to find here in Europe. I used it as a detangler, and still do! It works as a good moisturizer too. Because my hair is a little bit damaged from the bleach it needs extra care, and as it says "Reconstruccion Total SOS" it helps dry and damaged hair. I think this really helps against hair breakage, it's a light weight product so it doesn't seal (like many oils) the hair cuticles. It allows your hair to be free. This is definitely 4 stars !

2. Kruidvat Cremevoeding (detangler & moisturizer)

Kruidvat Cremevoeding
$1,91

This is one of my absolute favorite hair products. This is a dutch product that is a mix of different types of vitamins to keep your hair healthy. Of course i did some research on the ingredients because people told me that it's bad for your hair, to be honest.. i've been using this for YEARS and it hasn't damaged my hair, it did the opposite! it kept my hair healthy and moisturized.  I think i'd cry if they would stop making this product. I use it as a moisturizer and detangler aswell. It's always good to have several products because your hair can get 'used' to a product. And after a long time it will not work the same way as it did in the beginning. This is a very light weight product and it helps frizz. Because I prefer to use organic products the price had me doubting about the amount of strange chemicals. Lucky me it doesn't damage my hair at all. I use this on dry hair, damp hair, under the shower as a detangler or on a 'omg-my-hair-looks-like-a-mess-i-don't-know-what-to-do-with-it' day.

Organics Texture My Way
$6,81

3. Organics Texture My Way

The first time i tried this product i couldn't believe that it really worked. This product has everything you need for bouncy good looking curls, and it's organic too! (at least.. that's what it says) I checked the ingredients and they're not 100% organic but they're just fine. I don't love the smell, it smells like raspberry and grapes. That's the only thing I don't like about this product. Other than that it really is my favorite curl keeper.

Soft n' Free Curl Activator
and Moisturizer
$9,53

4. Soft n’ Free Curl activator and Moisturizer

I bought this product two weeks ago, and i must say that i'm starting to like it. It doesn't work the same way as the Texture My Way, but it gives me a frizzy but healthy look. I'm still 'testing' this product to see if it really works on a long term. It has a strong smell but it smells like freshly washed hair.

Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner
$27,22

5. Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner

This is the best Leave-In-Conditioner ever! The smell is perfect, and I it gives me perfectly defined bouncy curls. I'm too obsessed with my big frizzy hair so I only use it after I washed my hair. The price is the only thing that's holding me back from using it too often. The hair products for curly hair are very expensive in Europe, so you're lucky if you live in the states and you have the chance to buy the leave-in conditioner!

WaveNouveau Moisturizing
Finishing Lotion
$10,89

6. WaveNouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion

WaveNouveau is a very good product for long wavy/curly hair. When my hair used to be long (waist long!) it really helped me maintain my curls healthy. Unfortunately the ingredients are not the best, so at some point it might dry out your hair a little bit. I use this once in a while when I decide to use something else than the products i just wrote about. I must say it smells amazing ! I'm usually annoyed by the fragrance they add to black hair products because it always has this strong chemical smell, and products for European hair have a luxurious scent. This product really smells like 'European hair products' lol !

YESToTomatoes S & C
$17,98 (for both)
7. YESToTomatoes Shampoo and Conditioner

I have never had a better experience with Shampoo's and conditioner as I had with the YESToTomatoes shampoo and conditioner. This actually makes me want to wash my hair, it gives me so much volume and leaves my hair fresh and soft. By the way.. I love everything from the YESTo line, from the face moisturizers to the conditioners. There are two things I love about the YESToTomatoes S & C. First, it's organic without parabens, petrolium and sulfates! (YES I checked the ingredients!) It's hard to find a shampoo without parabens that really cleanses your hair and removes the build-up as well. I don't think I will ever buy another shampoo, unless it's from the YESToCarrots, YESToCucumber or YESToBlueberries line. The second I love about it is that does what it says, it gives you volume without damaging your hair. If you're not a fan of voluminous hair then you can try the S & C from YESToCarrots for deep moisture, YESToCucumber for color protection or the YESToBlueberries for healthy hair. This is a highly recommended product !!

Hope you guys liked my first REAL post, as you can see i'm trying my best to help some of you out with finding the right hair products and sharing what I know about curly hair.
